BodyBoss Portable Home Gym 2.0 Review: Is it your ultimate exercise companion?

Working out requires consistency to achieve your fitness goals. The BodyBoss 2.0 allows you to achieve consistency in your exercise and much more.

BodyBoss 2.0 - Full Portable Home Gym Workout Package Overview.

The BodyBoss Portable Home Gym 2.0 is a feature-rich gym solution at home or on a trip. It comes with unique features that can serve each body fitness enthusiast.

Top features

The Resistance Bands

The BodyBoss Home Gym 2.0 comes with resistance bands with a resistance of up to 30 lbs. While 30lbs of resistance can be enough for some users, some will find it inadequate. You can increase its resistance if you want more resistance by shortening its bands.

It has about 30-inch long cloth-covered bands and has clothes on both ends to connect to the base and other attachments.

The downside is only two bands come with the BodyBoss Home Gym 2.0, and with more resistance bands, the more resistance you get. But it will cost you more to get extra bands.

The Base

The base is the signature feature of the BodyBoss that other resistance bands lack. You can use the base, also known as the VectorFit, as a platform to stand on when working out and also attach bands to it.

The base allows you to perform different exercises without stepping on the bands during exercises, such as overhead presses or squats. It also lets you customize the resistance by shortening them as you deem fit.

You can increase the resistance by adding more bands to the base. It is possible to attach up to five bands to give you more resistance.

Because of the portability of the BodyBoss Home Gym 2.0, you can fold the base in half and easily carry it around. It is also wide enough for you to do any exercise freely.

It is safe and comfortable as it has a nonslip bottom to keep the base in place as you work out. It is padded for comfort during workouts.

The Attachments

The BodyBoss 2.0. comes with several necessary attachments to give you more options for your workouts. It has a collapsible workout bar that makes it easy to do exercise like squats when combined with the base.

It has two handles which you can use as dumbbells, and two limp straps for cardio boxing. If you want to do different low and high pulley-like exercises, you can use a door anchor for that.

Pros

  • It is inexpensive compared with other portable home exercise equipment.

  • It is portable, allowing you to use it anywhere for consistent workouts.

  • You can do a variety of workouts from muscle mass building,full-body workout to a cardio workout.

Cons

  • Comes with only two resistance bands. You will need to buy extra resistance bands.

  • The base could move when you are not standing on it. So it requires you to place something weighty on the platform to hold it down.

  • It uses two different carrying bags.

Our verdict

The Bodyboss 2.0 is feature-packed compared to its peers in the portable exercise equipment category. It is the ideal home gym for those who like to do various exercises during their workouts but on a budget.
